Part 1: The history of tattoo ink and tattoo removal
Learn from Doug Neuhofer, EMEA Brand Manager (Skin), who will share his expert knowledge on tattoo removal. In this webinar you will learn how tattoo removal has been performed with various tools since the start of tattooing. While tattoos were once considered permanent, it is now possible to remove them with treatments, fully. To gain a real knowledge of tattoo removal it is important to understand the range of tattoo inks that are available and in a range of colors that can be thinned or mixed together to produce other colors and shades. Most professional tattoo artists purchase inks pre-made, while some tattooers mix their own using a dry pigment and a carrier.
Part 2: Picosecond + Nanosecond for effective Tattoo Removal Treatment
Learn from Kevin Williams, Laser Specialist, who will share his experience in Laser technology. Clinical studies have shown that the optimal method for shattering pigment particles is to treat them with both Nano and Picosecond laser pulses*. First, the Nanosecond pulses are used to deliver short bursts of energy that break down the larger and deeper pigment or ink particles. Then, the area is re-scanned with Picosecond pulses that dismantle the smaller and shallower particles.
