We’ve sat down with Thomas Louze, Regional Sales Manager for Lumenis DACH to discuss his experience and new role at Lumenis.
Firstly Thomas, how did you come to join the team at Lumenis? “I joined the team a few months ago, I essentially came through a recommendation. I had heard a lot of positive feedback about Lumenis regarding the company culture and the way things are going at Lumenis, I had to sit up and listen!”
Thomas brings a wealth of experience within the Sales Management arena to his new role. Previously holding Sales Management roles at Stryker, Doctolib & Osborn International.
“Despite not having a background in the aesthetics industry, I’ve been able to learn quickly and getting to grips with an entirely new industry has proven all the more interesting for me!”
Hitting the Ground Running
“I’ve been in my role now for 6 weeks, as the Regional Sales Manager within the DACH region, my role is to develop the strategy for the region and ensure this is linked to the overall Aesthetic strategy developed by our Vice President.”
“Accordingly, I need to put the right organisation in place, train and coach my team to make sure that the DACH team (Sales, Marketing and Clinical) we overachieve our goal and work in a professional and fun work atmosphere.”
Thomas has both short and long term goals for the region. “The overall target is to put the right strategy in place to assure short but also long-term result and provide revenue to the company.”
Part of the Lumenis Team
Despite only being with Lumenis for 6 weeks Thomas already feels at home. Thomas has already attended key conferences such as FOBI and meet with industry Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
“I couldn’t feel more at home already. I’ve had a very warm welcome, particularly the team, and am already travelling! I’ve spent 3 days in Israel, 3 days in the USA to see how the work was done there, which has been very useful.”
Thomas and his team are currently preparing for a key workshop which will take place in Leipzig on the 15th September. The workshop will focus on key trends within the aesthetic industry and will feature presentations by Dr. Gerd Gauglitz, Dr. Matthias Theden-Schow and Dr Anita Rütter.
